Galt drug bust results in seizure of meth, heroin, fentanyl and firearms

GALT, Calif. (KTXL) — The Sacramento County Probation Department reported on Thursday that they seized several pounds of drugs and multiple firearms during a bust in Galt on Wednesday.

The probation department said that, in partnership with the Galt Police Department and the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office SWAT Team, it served a search warrant to a Galt home on a Probation 63 approval.

Breed, the San Francisco Department of Public Health (SFDPH), and the San Francisco Adult Probation Department (SFAPD) today announced the opening of a new transitional housing facility at 509 Minna Street for justice-involved adults who are experiencing homelessness and have complex mental health and substance use disorders.

Imperial County Probation Project ASPIRE for Youth

The Imperial County Probation Department, in partnership with county Parks and Recreation, has developed an after-school and Saturday program for youth in outlying areas of Imperial County called Project ASPIRE.

Young people in Seeley, Ocotillo, Palo Verde, Heber, Calipatria, Niland and Salton City may benefit through the offering of recreation, homework assistance, and arts and cultural activities.

PPPS Week Highlight: Six Graduates Celebrated the Completion of “Another Way”, Domestic Violence Program

In honor of Probation Services (PPPS) Week, Chief Probation Officers of California is spotlighting probation officers and staff who help justice-involved individuals transform their lives and put people on safer, healthier pathways.

Last year, Solano County Probation Department celebrated its first graduation for the Domestic Violence program, “Another Way.” This 52-week in-house program started in April 2020, allowing probation clients to participate free of cost. Six graduates were honored, and other classmates attended in support.

The Fresno County Board of Supervisors has proclaimed July 17 - 23, 2022, Pretrial, Probation, and Parole Supervision Week.

The Fresno County Probation Department supervises approximately 13,000 adult and juvenile offenders. Annually, the department completes over 30,000 reports, screenings, and assessments.

The Probation Department also provides comprehensive services to victims and witnesses of crime. Victim-Witness advocates serve over 7,000 Fresno County citizens annually.
