Lindsey Tompkins
Lindsey has been working in education since 2010 in which time she has worked in multiple positions and capacities including Paraprofessional roles in special education, as a District Autism Specialist and in her current role as the Behavior Intervention Services Manager for the San Luis Obispo County Office of Education. Lindsey is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and works in supporting multi-tiered systems of support specifically targeting social-emotional and behavioral supports. Lindsey trains and coaches local school sites and districts in implementation of the Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) framework and evidence-based practices. Lindsey also coaches the implementation of PBIS at the County Office of Education programs including special education and alternative education sites. Lindsey has provided implementation training, support, coaching and technical assistance to the San Luis Obispo Juvenile Hall for their facility wide implementation of the PBIS framework since 2018. She has presented at state and national conferences on the work she and the team at Juvenile Hall have accomplished. Lindsey has a passion for supporting all youth in her community especially those who require more support and are often overlooked by the traditional educational system.
