A Forever Home: Process and Strategies to Achieve Permanency

Every child that comes into care has an urgent need to be restored by loving, healthy, committed, and consistent connections; whether it is their biological family, a resource family, or a willing person who has stepped up to love, care for, and nurture them. Data shows that children thrive when they know they are loved and have a sense of belonging. Come listen to Los Angeles County Probation Department share their strategies to support youth and families to establish permanency as well as learn about the permanency process. Family reunification, legal guardianship, adoption, and Kinship-Guardianship Assistance Payment (Kin-GAP) are some topics that will be covered in this session.
