Kern County Probation Department: Buttonwillow Man Arrested after Meth, Digital scales found in Home

KERN COUNTY, Calif. – January 10,
2025 – Kern County Probation Department
officers arrested a man Wednesday under suspicion of
methamphetamine sales.
Harvey Watkins, 49, was arrested Jan. 8 after officers in the
Post Release Community Supervision Unit searched a home…and
discovered 4.5 ounces of suspected methamphetamine.
Multiple digital scales, cash and drug paraphernalia was also
found, according to officials.
Watkins was arrested for alleged possession of a controlled
substance, possession of a controlled substance for sales, and
possession of controlled substance paraphernalia.
The probation department also says Watson was charged with
possession of drugs with two prior convictions under Proposition
36.
