This class will present on overview of mental health issues,
including diagnosis, psychopharmacology, and dangerousness, as
well as how mental illness has increasingly become a justice
system problem. We will discuss research-based approaches to
effective supervision of mentally-ill offenders, including the
role of the probation officer, and responding to individuals
suffering from specific disorders.
