Understanding and Responding to the Mentally-Ill Offender – San Mateo
This course meets the BSCC Mental Health Grant Requirement
This class will present on overview of mental health issues,
including diagnosis, psychopharmacology, and dangerousness, as
well as how mental illness has increasingly become a justice
system problem. We will discuss research-based approaches to
effective supervision of mentally-ill offenders, including the
role of the probation officer, and responding to individuals
suffering from specific disorders.

Cost: $75 ($50 STC Tuition + $25.00 Registration Fee)
*STC Tuition of $50 can be applied to the BSCC Mental Health
Grant.
