Leianna Eissinger
Leianna Eissinger, Deputy Probation Officer III, began her career with the El Dorado County Probation Department in South Lake Tahoe, as an intern fifteen years ago. After her internship, she was hired at the Juvenile Treatment Center and expanded her knowledge of the juvenile justice system. Raising two young children as a single mother she attended college courses for several years, earning the accreditation required for employment with the probation department. After working in the juvenile detention facility for two years, she was promoted to the field office and carried caseloads from juvenile to adult. Her knowledge of the justice system increased and her desire to excel grew. Her favorite assignment was the school resource officer where she was stationed at the South Tahoe High School. Approximately five years ago she laterally transferred to the Mono County Probation Department after her family relocated to the State of Nevada. While with the Mono County Probation Department, she has helped develop the pre-trial program and re-entry services. She is currently assigned High Risk-Post Release Community Supervision and the Sex Offender caseload. During her career as a Deputy Probation Officer, Leianna has specialized certifications as a Defensive Tactics Instructor, Batterers Intervention Facilitator, Static-99r Certified Scorer and Field Training Officer. She is honored to be here with all of you at the statewide Supporting Excellence in the California Probation: Strategies for Success Conference 2024.
